Debate

This classical debate event will be conducted in LT-202 on 11th of March. Students can choose Hindi or English as we at Ingenious believe that language shouldn't be a bar when it comes to expression. Those shortlisted from the auditions will qualify for the final round where there'll be renowned language experts from the city as judges.

Format of the event is pretty much like the classical format, to which we've added some improvisations. The speakers of both the motions will be called in pairs to speak on the stage. Here each will be given 3 minutes to speak. Apart from this the speakers will get two buzzer power where they can stop their opponent if they want to refute their argument at some point. There'll be points on how relevant the question is and how well the answer in framed.

Public speaking events like these are helpful for students to develop their speaking skills and gain confidence in front of a crowd.
